Coop and Run Packages for 6 – 9 Chickens

For mid-sized flocks, our coop and run packages designed for 6–9 chickens offer a practical balance of shelter and outdoor space. These setups comfortably house your hens in the coop while providing a secure run area for daytime movement, scratching and foraging.

The Mansion & Run is a compact option, featuring an L-shaped design with just under 3 metres of run space. For larger layouts, the Majestic & Run and Estate & Run offer generous outdoor areas, giving hens more room to roam. If you’re working with a narrower backyard, the Cabana & Run includes a slimmer run design that fits more easily into tighter spaces.

Coop and Run Packages for 10 – 12 Chickens

For larger flocks (or for owners who simply want to provide extra space) our biggest packages are ideal. The Castle & Run and Homestead & Run feature expansive designs with close to 6 metres of enclosed run space.

These larger setups give your chickens plenty of room to move without needing to free range in unprotected areas, helping to keep them safe while still supporting natural behaviours.

Easy Assembly

Our coops are designed to be straightforward to put together at home. Panels come pre-made with wire mesh already attached and timber pre-stained, so it’s simply a matter of lining them up and securing them with the included screws. All you’ll need is a drill. Most customers assemble their coop themselves without needing professional help.

As an Australian business, our coops are designed with local conditions in mind. We consider common backyard sizes and layouts, along with what Aussie chicken owners actually want. We use rot-resistant timber suited to outdoor use and include practical features like good ventilation for hot summer days and covered areas to provide shade.

Safe from Predators

We design our coops with security as a priority because we’re chicken owners ourselves and understand how important peace of mind is. Our coop and run packages use strong wire mesh that can’t be chewed or broken into by common predators like foxes, cats and rodents. All doors are fitted with secure sliding latches that animals can’t open.

How much space should a chicken coop have?

As a general guide, backyard hens need around 30cm of roosting space each on their perches for sleeping at night, and at least 1m² of outdoor run space per bird during the day. These are minimum recommendations only. The more space you give each hen, the happier they are!

Is it better to have a chicken coop on the ground or raised?

We recommend a raised sleeping area for the coop. This helps chickens feel more secure at night and improves airflow, which supports better temperature control. A ramp can then lead down into a ground-level run where they can scratch, peck and forage naturally in the dirt.

How much run space do 6 chickens need?

For six chickens, we recommend a minimum of around 6m² of outdoor run space in total. However, giving them more space is always better! If you can only provide the minimum, it’s a good idea to let them out occasionally into a larger yard for extra roaming time.
